Maintenance

Improving and maintaining your business or home property can be a daunting task. Our crews are able to help in a variety of ways. Whether you require seasonal plantings, corrective pruning, turf rehabilitation, or a host of other services, we are here to help!

Transformations

One of the real pleasures in our work is to see the wondrous transformations from often neglected or boring spaces to beautiful areas full of life and function.

At The Shop

Home is where the heart is. The shop is where it all begins.

Our landscape crews start early, checking vehicles, machinery, tools, supplies & materials to ensure safe transport. Often they are out very long days and return well after the shop has closed for the night. Thank you team!

Our Garden Center and Mulch Yard are well handled by Katie, Bobbie and Serena. Of course, the shop cats Bootsie, Callie and Betty know who is really in charge (whoever dispenses the kibble that day)!

Green View Design Process

A landscape designer will visit your home or property and begin our discussion. Let’s take time to learn what you like to do, how you live and what you want from this space. Also, let’s think about your tastes in architecture, color, and your design preferences.

This visit typically lasts approximately an hour. Please take the time to consider your construction budget. You may not know an exact amount, but knowing if you have $20,000 or $100,000 does determine what is really possible from the design.

With this information at hand, we will be able to give you a price range for creating a custom, professional design. After the Q&A time, our designer will begin taking measurements and photos of your property. Having a plat of your property available during our first visit is extremely helpful. This saves time and money since we aren’t recreating what someone else has already done. If it is not available, don’t worry, we can still accomplish the design.

The design creation is occasionally straightforward but often will require reworking to achieve the ideal. While this part may feel slow, it is well worth the extra time. Skipping the design process and going directly to construction usually ends up costing more in the long-run and rarely achieves the full potential of your property, time and financial investment.

Think of your design like a piece of art which we are collaborating on. Upon completion of the initial landscape design, we will set an office appointment for you to sit down, review the plan and revise. After making any requested design edits, we will then produce an estimate to install and construct your new landscape plan.

Don’t put off one of the best things you can do for you, your family, and your home. Contact us any time for more information.

Our Story

We began as a small business with young sons Richard and Ryan Saunders mowing lawns. Father Wayne was the silent partner always helping with machinery, transportation and educating his boys in responsible business practices. A few years later, they turned it into an official partnership and began Green View Landscaping and Landscape Management.

Richard attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to earn a degree in Business Marketing and Management, later going back to GTCC to learn computer-aided design (CAD) while Ryan attended Forsyth Technical College and received his Horticulture Degree.

In 1998, we incorporated and began our full-time work. Shortly after, in January 1999, we bought the mulch facility on Liberty Road where we are currently located and expanded its offerings. In that same year, Katie Saunders Coleman joined her brothers as she was pursuing her degree in Interior Design at Randolph Community College.

Wayne had backed his children for years and helped teach them his principles. He was behind the scenes providing financial backing and business acumen gathered from years of experience in the textile and furniture industries. In 2000, Wayne resigned his position in the furniture industry to go full-time with his family.

In the years since, everyone at Green View has been encouraged to further their education in the field. This means that we can really stay up-to-date on new guidelines and are aware of new innovations. Most recently, in 2017, Ryan gained his General Contractors license which nicely rounds out the Landscape Contractor, Irrigation  Contractor Licenses and many other industry certifications he already had attained.
